On behalf of a major operator, I am looking for an energy yield & site assessment expert based in Hamburg, Germany on a permanent basis.
You will be an important part of the companies project development team in Hamburg and work closely with the technical experts overseas.

You will be an important part of the companies project development team in Hamburg and work closely with the technical experts overseas.

Responsibilities:
- Main contact person for onshore wind potential/yield
- Planning, coordination and evaluation of own and external wind measurements in Germany
- Coordination, implementation and coordination of internal and external yield calculations, including relevant losses and uncertainties.
- Close exchange with internal colleagues in Germany and France as well as external experts, service providers and expert committees as well as management of the various specialists and work steps.
- Selection of the wind turbine type and determination of the park layout/design in coordination with the technical team.
- Control of permit requirements from the point of view of control law and information of colleagues on control requirements and operating restrictions
- Expert guidance in the preparation of forecasts for turbulence, wake effects, sound and shadow, if necessary with external service providers
Requirements:
- Completed master's degree in engineering or environmental sciences, physics, meteorology, geography or another related field
- Relevant professional experience in the field of wind measurements, measurement data evaluation, yield analyses / wind reports, emission control or similar areas
- Experience in making forecasts of turbulence, wake effects, sound and shadows is desirable.
- Knowledge of the common guidelines for yield calculations and environmental forecasts (e.g. TR6, TA Lärm)
- Safe handling of relevant software such as. WindPro, WaSP, CFD and GIS systems required
- Good knowledge of German at least at B1 level as well as good English skills
