WRS are seeking a Document Controller specializing in IP Contracts to support the management, review, and tracking of intellectual property agreements. This role requires working closely with legal and commercial managers from a variety of organizations, including SMEs, universities, and public or private institutions, both within France and internationally. The position will be offered on a 12 month renewable contract basis, based residentially in Lyon, paying a day rate in Euros.

WRS are seeking a Document Controller specializing in IP Contracts to support the management, review, and tracking of intellectual property agreements. This role requires working closely with legal and commercial managers from a variety of organizations, including SMEs, universities, and public or private institutions, both within France and internationally. The position will be offered on a 12 month renewable contract basis, based residentially in Lyon, paying a day rate in Euros.
Key Responsibilities
- IP Contract Review: Verify amounts, layouts, templates, billing details, essential clauses, and signatories to ensure contract accuracy.
- Database Management: Maintain up-to-date and high-quality records in the IP Contracts database.
- Electronic Signature Oversight: Manage the e-signing process and track signatures, coordinating with stakeholders and maintaining transparency.
- Document Archiving: Store and archive electronically signed contracts in line with established procedures.
- Royalty Collection: Track licensed technologies and oversee royalty collection in collaboration with operations and financial teams.
- Contract Monitoring: Handle purchase requests, orders, and consultant contract monitoring, including due diligence and invoicing.
- Proven experience in document control or contract management, ideally within an IP-focused environment.
- Strong administrative and organizational skills, with attention to detail and adherence to procedures.
- Proficiency in French and English (both written and spoken) is mandatory.
- Familiarity with intellectual property contracts or patent processes is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience working for an Oil & Gas operator
