FPSO Senior Contracts Engineer - Kuala Lumpur

On behalf of a major oil & gas operator, WRS are seeking an experienced Senior Contract Engineer to oversee contractual and commercial activities related to the FPSO package within a major offshore development project. This role involves managing tendering, contract execution, and ongoing contractor relations, ensuring compliance with international standards and project requirements.

The role will be offered on a 12 month renewable contract, based residentially in Kuala Lumpur, working 5 days per week, paying a day rate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the preparation, negotiation, and management of FPSO-related contracts, including tendering processes, clarification, and recommendation phases.
• Oversee the contractual and commercial management of awarded contracts, including managing change orders, payment processes, and dispute resolution.
• Collaborate with technical and project control teams to ensure cohesive contract execution and alignment with technical, budget, and timeline objectives.
• Maintain comprehensive records of all contractual matters and monitor key milestones.
• Support the development and revision of the project budget in coordination with the cost control team.
• Provide regular reports to project management, highlighting key concerns or issues.
• Ensure strict confidentiality and compliance with all contractual and commercial documentation.
• Participate in contract close-out processes, adhering to project procedures.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• MSc in Engineering or higher, with significant experience in Oil & Gas contract management.
• Minimum of 12 years of professional experience, with at least 8 years in project contract management.
• Proven expertise in FPSO-related EPSCC and operations/maintenance contracts is highly advantageous.
• Experience working for an Oil & Gas operator
