12-Month Renewable Contract

We are seeking an experienced Subcontracts Manager to join a leading EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) client in Germany.

Key Responsibilities
 
  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of subcontract agreements, from negotiation and formation to execution and close-out, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and German legal requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with subcontracts, including financial, legal, and operational considerations.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance to ensure adherence to contract terms, conditions, and applicable laws.
  • Collaborate with project controls and procurement teams to manage budgets, track expenditures, and optimise cost-efficiency.
  • Work closely with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure seamless project execution and alignment with contractual agreements.
  • Address and resolve any disputes or issues that arise with subcontractors in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain detailed records of subcontractor performance, contract changes, and compliance, providing regular updates to project management.
Requirements
  • Significant experience as a Subcontracts Manager in the energy industry.
  • Fluency in German is essential for effective communication and contract management.
  • Strong knowledge of German law, particularly as it pertains to subcontract formation and execution.
  • Must be available to work on-site in Buttel; remote work is not an option for this role.
  • Experience with renewable energy projects is highly advantageous.
