Senior Interventions Engineer

On behalf of a major Oil & Gas operator, WRS are looking for a Senior Interventions Engineer to work on a contract, residential basis in Brunei. This will be a 12 month renewable contract, working 5 days per week in the clients' offices in Bandar Seri Begawan, paying a day rate.

Job Duties include:

• Work on call for tender, well intervention programs, execution, and end of well report.
• Lead the well intervention operation safely and cost-effectively in collaboration with all teams.
• Lead the well intervention team made of a well superintendent and offshore supervisors (RSES-D). You will hence be a key member in the Chain of Command (CoC) and will coordinate with the RSES. As part of the team, you will be expected to use your knowledge and experience to deliver a high level of performance as well as demonstrating strong HSE leadership for both client and contracted service suppliers. You will also be open to coach local staff on the well intervention activities.
• Work very closely with the WLS (Wells and Logistic) team and PBSG (Production Boosting Squad & Geoscience) team.
• Ensuring health, safety, and environmental risks are assessed, and necessary measures are taken to mitigate safety and health risks;
• Support the HSE group and LSO group for Safety Case and the Combine Safety Case;
• Securing contracts and services for the campaign

Ideal candidate will have:

• 10 years of successful experience in Well Interventions
• Experience with snubbing unit operations is preferred
• Previous experience working for an operator
• Proven offshore experience
• IWCF Well Control Level 4 (IWCF Well Intervention Pressure Control Level 4 will be a plus)
• BOSIET;
• Operations on small unmanned installations
• Have a good understanding of relevant subsurface needs and aspects
• Vaccination against COVID
