Flow Assurance Engineer
Job description
On behalf of a major EPC, WRS are looking for a Flow Assurance Engineer to join the team in Houston on some upcoming mega projects.
This role would be a Temp to Perm hire, looking for candidates with the intention of staying on for a long duration after the inital contract.
Schedule: 4/10 in-office (no potential for hybrid) Candidate should have flexibility to also work on Friday's if needed
Key Responsibilities
Deliver process engineering services that meet our client, its customers and applicable statutory and regulatory specifications, on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver process engineering services that meet our client, its customers and applicable statutory and regulatory specifications, on time and within budget.
- Perform flow assurance engineering services such as:
- Steady state and transient multiphase flow simulations, heat transfer and flash calculations on PC- based software packages (with emphasis on using OLGA & PVTsim).
- Hydrocarbon fluid characterization.
- Analyze results of the simulations and recommend optimum hydraulic operating conditions.
- Identify and report changes to project scope.
- Assist with the preparation of detailed designs and drawings, specifications, data, calculations, and reports
- Keep up to date with the latest developments and technical innovations in flow assurance engineering.
- Communicate effectively with the engineering team and project stakeholders, including Customers.
- Identify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions, and ask for assistance when required.
- Bachelor of Science in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 2+ years of relevant industry experience
- Effective technical and practical engineering skills and ability to consistently deliver quality, accurate and timely work to our client and its customers.
- Good working knowledge of the fundamental requirements of process engineering, and the basic requirements of other engineering fields.
- Strong fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and mass transfer knowledge
- Good working knowledge of applicable local and international standards and statutory and regulatory specifications.
- Engineering experience in the same or similar industry and developing leadership skills.
- Experience developing machine learning algorithms and data analysis tools.
- Familiar with CCUS and CO2 transportation modeling concepts
- US citizenship needed
