QC Civil Lead Inspector - Oman
On behalf of a major EPC client, WRS are looking for a QC Civil Lead Inspector to work in Oman on a contract, rotational basis. This will be a 12 month renewable contract, rotating 12/2 into Oman, paying a monthly salary in USD.
The role will be supporting the construction of a large LNG train, with the project just going into EPC phase.

On behalf of a major EPC client, WRS are looking for a QC Civil Lead Inspector to work in Oman on a contract, rotational basis. This will be a 12 month renewable contract, rotating 12/2 into Oman, paying a monthly salary in USD.
The role will be supporting the construction of a large LNG train, with the project just going into EPC phase.
Job Duties:
- Lead and manage QC inspections for all civil activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications, local regulations, and international standards (ISO, ASTM, ASME, etc.).
- Develop inspection plans and testing procedures for civil works, including concrete, earthworks, formwork, rebar placement, grading, drainage, and structural steelwork.
- Prepare, maintain, and update QC records, including inspection reports, test results, NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and corrective action plans. Maintain accurate documentation of construction progress and compliance.
- Collaborate with engineering, construction, procurement, and subcontractor teams to resolve quality issues and ensure timely completion of work in accordance with project schedules.
- Ensure compliance with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) regulations, quality procedures, and best practices throughout all phases of civil construction.
- Identify non-conforming work or materials, lead investigations, and implement corrective actions. Issue and track NCRs, ensuring closure with verified corrective measures.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in QC/QA on large-scale civil projects, with at least 5 years in LNG, oil & gas, or petrochemical sectors.
- Experience with EPC contractors is a plus.
- Certification in quality control (e.g., AWS, ACI, CSWIP, or equivalent). Knowledge of ISO 9001, ACI, and ASTM standards is essential.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and project documentation. Skilled in QC tools, methods, and software, with knowledge of construction materials testing techniques.
