Construction Security Lead
Tanzania
12-Month Renewable Contract
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct risk assessments for hotel and site accommodations in Tanzania and Uganda in line with project standards.
  • Maintain and update the in-country Persons on Board (POB) list, ensuring employee locations are tracked for evacuation purposes.
  • Participate in daily meetings to address security concerns and provide security inductions as required.
  • Work across multiple sites as directed by the Security Manager.
  • Ensure contractors provide adequate security personnel and implement proper access control measures.
  • Assist with security and emergency response incidents, including medical emergencies.
  • Monitor media for security-related developments in Tanzania and Uganda.
  • Advise senior project management on security concerns, keeping the Security Manager informed.
  • Identify and document project risks in the Incident Database.
  • Submit weekly activity reports to the Security Manager.
  • Communicate project requests to the Security Manager before agreeing to additional work outside the current scope.
  • Review contractor security plans and procedures, and develop security and emergency response plans.
  • Serve as a member of the Incident Management Team if required.
  • Lead investigations, conduct interviews, and prepare detailed reports.
  • Host monthly progress meetings with contractors, providing updates to the management team.
  • Audit contractors and their subcontractors for compliance with standards, KPIs, incident reporting, training, and employee vetting.
  • Provide coverage for corporate security personnel when necessary.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Security Manager.
Qualifications
  • A graduate qualification in Security Risk or Crisis Management is preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as CPP, PSP, PCI, or CSMP are advantageous
