Key Responsibilities
- Conduct risk assessments for hotel and site accommodations in Tanzania and Uganda in line with project standards.
- Maintain and update the in-country Persons on Board (POB) list, ensuring employee locations are tracked for evacuation purposes.
- Participate in daily meetings to address security concerns and provide security inductions as required.
- Work across multiple sites as directed by the Security Manager.
- Ensure contractors provide adequate security personnel and implement proper access control measures.
- Assist with security and emergency response incidents, including medical emergencies.
- Monitor media for security-related developments in Tanzania and Uganda.
- Advise senior project management on security concerns, keeping the Security Manager informed.
- Identify and document project risks in the Incident Database.
- Submit weekly activity reports to the Security Manager.
- Communicate project requests to the Security Manager before agreeing to additional work outside the current scope.
- Review contractor security plans and procedures, and develop security and emergency response plans.
- Serve as a member of the Incident Management Team if required.
- Lead investigations, conduct interviews, and prepare detailed reports.
- Host monthly progress meetings with contractors, providing updates to the management team.
- Audit contractors and their subcontractors for compliance with standards, KPIs, incident reporting, training, and employee vetting.
- Provide coverage for corporate security personnel when necessary.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Security Manager.
- A graduate qualification in Security Risk or Crisis Management is preferred.
- Professional certifications such as CPP, PSP, PCI, or CSMP are advantageous
