Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Permitting Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive permitting standards for all projects, acting as the face of project permitting and environmental responsibility.
- Expertise and Compliance: Serve as a subject matter expert in environmental review and permitting processes, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
- Strategic Planning: Develop strategies aligning permitting activities with company standards and commercial goals.
- Community Engagement: Assist in implementing community outreach and relations strategies, fostering long-term relationships within project communities.
- Education: Minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Experience: At least 5 years of environmental or land-use permitting experience in the renewable energy industry.
- Regulatory Familiarity: Experience with NEPA, USFWS, USACE, SHPO, PUC, and other relevant regulations.
- Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, GIS tools (ArcGIS, QGIS, Google Earth Pro), and adaptable to various software platforms.
- Renewable Energy Experience: Prior experience in the renewable energy development field.
- Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to overcome obstacles and achieve overall project success.
- Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional ability to build strong working relationships and articulate issues and solutions within a team environment.
- Communication: Highly advanced writing and presentation skills.
