Director of Procurement
The Director of Procurement will oversee and manage the procurement of key equipment necessary for the construction of renewable energy projects (Wind, Solar, BESS). This will include developing and implementing procurement strategies, identifying reliable suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely delivery of equipment while maintaining high quality standards.
Responsibilities
  • Lead all strategic procurement activities to support the development and construction of utility scale wind, solar and battery storage projects.
  • Establish and maintain strategic relationships with OEMs of major wind, solar and storage equipment.
  • Develop the contracting strategy for procurement of major equipment to fit with the goals and risk profile of the project and the company.
  • Manage procurement RFPs to determine best-fit suppliers for major equipment and services.
  • Serve as main point of contact for the RFP bidding process; scheduling and managing Q & A sessions, response deadlines, proposal deliverables and supplier feedback.
  • Analyze bids and qualify vendors based on quality, cost, and contractual terms and provide recommendations to senior management team.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams to ensure alignment on equipment selection and supply agreements.
  • Manage contracts post-execution to ensure all obligations are administered and fulfilled on time and in accordance with budget and equipment specifications.
  • Monitor risks associated with renewable equipment supply chain and procurement and develop mitigation strategies.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors in engineering, supply chain management or business preferred.
  • 5+ years of work experience with a leading IPP, utility or renewable developer.
  • Proven record of accomplishment in wind, solar and renewable energy development.
  • Knowledge and experience with sourcing/procuring solar, wind and energy storage major equipment and services.
  • Strong commercial negotiation skills, with an understanding of the legal aspects of major equipment supply contracting.
Salary, Benefits and Location
  • Base salary dependent on experience ($190-230K)
