We are seeking a skilled and motivated NETA III Technician to join our clients team in Texas. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of electrical testing and maintenance practices, ensuring the reliability and safety of electrical systems. This role involves working with various equipment and systems in industrial, commercial, and utility settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct electrical testing and maintenance on a variety of power distribution systems, including switchgear, transformers, circuit breakers, and protective relays.
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance in accordance with industry standards and company procedures.
- Analyze test data and provide detailed reports on findings, including recommendations for repairs or improvements.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to electrical systems and equipment.
- Maintain and calibrate testing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Assist in training junior technicians and providing guidance on best practices.
- Stay updated with the latest industry standards, technologies, and safety protocols.
- NETA III certification is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical testing and maintenance.
- Strong understanding of power systems and electrical engineering principles.
- Proficient in using various electrical testing equipment and software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites as needed.
- Experience with digital protective relays and communication protocols (e.g., IEC 61850, Modbus).
- Familiarity with NETA, IEEE, and ANSI standards.
- Electrical engineering degree or equivalent technical training.
