Civil Engineering Construction Manager - Japan

On behalf of a major developer of power generation and storage facilities using solar, wind and other renewable energy sources, I am looking for a Civil Engineering Construction Manager to work on-site/ hybrid across Japan. This will begin as an initial contract before being offered a staff position.

You will be responsible for the construction management of the power plant construction as the director. You will be the on-site agent for the construction projects of solar and wind power plants that the client is constructing as a prime contractor in various parts of Japan, as well as the management and supervision of the entire construction site.

Responsibilities:
  • Construction schedule creation and review
  • System design, construction, external contractors, supply chain, project management
  • Business trips to all over the country will occur. There is no need to relocate your home when you are assigned to your first assignment, and you will be required to travel to each site

Requirements:
  • Level 1 Civil Construction Management Technician
  • Must have at least 3 years of experience in construction management of solar power plants as an on-site agent (main contractor)
  • Must have experience in process management in civil engineering-related work (mountain civil engineering, dam construction, landscaping work) in a position of responsibility as a main contractor (site manager, chief engineer, management engineer, etc.)
  • Experience in solar power plant projects at the director or chief level in Japan
