Job description
On Behalf of a major EPC company WRS are looking for a Construction Structural Superintendent to work in Wesseling, Germany

Responsibilties:
- Performing Structural duties on the Project Site. Advising the Construction Manager on construction activities of Contractors to ensure efficient, safe construction and productive work.
- Monitoring, expediting, Contractor activities.
- Advising the Construction Manager on the satisfactory operation and maintenance of Contractor temporary facilities.
- Audit and check work is performed in accordance to relevant codes and standards and that only trained experienced personnel are used on Project works.
- Promoting a safe working environment on site with Contractor to ensure all HSSE goals are achieved.
- Advising the Construction Manager on Contractor, competencies, procedures, and work processes.
- Ensuring Contractor staffing and competencies are maintained throughout the construction phase.
- Review Contractor method statements to ensure work will be performed in controlled, safe, and productive methods.
- Implementing and enforcing policies, procedures, and related work rules.
- Support the operation of the PTW system.
- General
- Maintains safe, and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.
- Attending construction / Contractors meeting when required to do so.
- Carrying out daily reviews of construction activity.Maintaining daily log of construction activities.
Skills:
- Knowledgeable and familiarity of German Structural specifications, codes, and standards.
- Must be able to monitor Contractor and inspection of Structural work.
- Co-ordinate effectively the work area requirements for multiple Contractors.
- Must demonstrate leadership skills.
- Computer literate, proficient with (Microsoft Office programmes).
- Working knowledge in oral and written German and understanding of spoken English.
Qualifications:
- Time served apprentice certificate from a Structural background or a national certificate qualification from a similar background.
- 10+ years of relevant site structural construction experience including 4 years in a supervisory capacity.
