On behalf of a major EPC client, WRS are looking for a Building Engineer to work in Oman on a contract, rotational basis. This will be a 12 month renewable contract, rotating 12/2 into Oman, paying a monthly salary in USD.
The role will be supporting the construction of a large LNG train, with the project just going into EPC phase.

On behalf of a major EPC client, WRS are looking for a Building Engineer to work in Oman on a contract, rotational basis. This will be a 12 month renewable contract, rotating 12/2 into Oman, paying a monthly salary in USD.
The role will be supporting the construction of a large LNG train, with the project just going into EPC phase.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the coordination and delivery of the EPC phase, with a focus on building engineering components, including civil, structural, mechanical, and architectural aspects.
- Review and verify construction drawings, specifications, and blueprints to ensure they meet project and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct quality inspections on building materials, structural elements, and system installations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure alignment on technical requirements and seamless integration of building systems within the LNG facility.
- Identify and resolve technical challenges during the construction phase, proactively addressing potential design or material issues.
- Ensure that all construction activities adhere to safety and environmental standards, contributing to a safe and compliant project environment.
- Maintain accurate records of project activities, including daily reports, inspection documentation, and change orders, while communicating progress and challenges to the Project Manager.
Requirements:
- 10 years of experience in building engineering, ideally with exposure to large-scale construction projects, particularly within the oil & gas or LNG sector.
- Proficient in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit) and project management tools. Familiarity with codes and standards relevant to LNG facilities (e.g., ASME, ANSI, API) is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Proven ability to address engineering challenges with innovative, practical solutions.
