On behalf of an independent Operator, I am looking for a Shutdown & W2W Support Engineer (GMA shutdowns) to work in their office in Hoofddorp. You will also be required to work offshore. This is a 12 month contract with the possibility of extension, paying a date rate in PAYE.
The priority for this role is to provide technical support to the Shutdown Manager Ensure safe and efficient delivery of Shutdown Operational requirements during the planning and execution phases as defined in the companies Shutdown Management Standard (On- & offshore)

Responsibilities:
- The Mechanical engineer shall assist the Shutdown Manager & Integrated planner to create a preliminary schedule in which the critical path shall be identified to indicate the shortest possible time to complete the shutdown scope.
- Support the shutdown manager to ensure that affected scopes are identified within the plan and that they meet the 90-day and 28-day gate criteria’s as applicable. Facilitate detailed gate reviews to ensure adequate preparedness for offshore delivery.
- Coordinate with supply chain and logistics to ensure that all identified materials are onboard the platform.
- Ensure that all enabling scopes e.g. scaffold are correctly identified and planned aligned with overall execution plan
- Supervise delivery of affected scopes during shutdowns within the field and provide accurate progress reports to offshore and onshore management.
Requirements:
- Relevant competencies for core discipline and level
- Technical competencies for Maintenance professional, such as Higher-Level education in Mechanical Engineering discipline (HBO) or (WO)
- Experienced with shutdown activities / projects with E&P business offshore
- Experience of shutdown planning and execution
- Experience and knowledge of SAP is desirable
- Experience of working in a major oil and gas company is beneficial.
- Experience of working with W2W campaigns / projects.
- Effective coordination skills
- First line supervisory skills
