On behalf of an independent Operator, WRS are looking for a Senior Process Engineer to work in their Barrow terminal on a 7 on, 7 off rotation working 11 hour days. This is an initial 12 month contract with the possibility of extension.
The role of the Senior Process Engineer is to provide day to day discipline engineering expertise to the asset's operations organisation (including shutdowns) ensuring continued safe, reliable, and environmentally responsible operations.

Scope of Work:
- Provide day to day support for process engineering within the asset; meeting the operational demands of the asset as set by the operation / terminal manager.
- Provide discipline expertise for troubleshooting operational issues identifying root cause and improvements to prevent future occurrence.
- Identify and implement solutions for immediate repairs, ensuring adherence to standards and engineering processes.
- Be the competent engineer for discipline in the planning and execute process. Specifically, defining discipline details to the 30 and 90-day asset plan; and then delivering any engineering aspects of that plan.
The Ideal candidate will have:
- Knowledge of UK COMAH legislations pertaining to the safe operation of onshore hydrocarbon processes.
- Demonstrate an expert understanding of process engineering principles and practical application.
- Ability to resolve complex problems and drives innovative solutions.
- Active participation in reviews and in particular risk and hazard assessment activities with the ability to resolve problems in a range of contexts from conceptual design to operational facilities.
