Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior EPC Contract Engineer to join our team, supporting complex capital projects in the Exploration & Production (E&P) sector. This role involves extensive contract engineering, procurement, and claims management on a global scale, with responsibilities spanning internal and external stakeholders, including contractors, legal entities, and project teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in contract management and claims within large-scale capital projects, particularly with experience in BIMCO BARECON 2017 for FPSO/FSO/FPU/FSRU contracts.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Contract Engineering & Administration:
    • Support and execute procurement and contract activities for large-scale capital projects.
    • Develop and manage CFT packages, ensuring robust commercial structures and terms.
    • Provide advice on complex tenders (CCFT, OBE/OBT, FEED+) and handle contract award recommendations.
    • Offer preventative support in claims management, ensuring early identification of risks.
  2. Senior Referent for Contract Engineering:
    • Define and coordinate contract methodologies and best practices for the entity.
    • Mentor and coach contract engineers, ensuring adherence to governance and contractual processes.
    • Represent the company in project reviews and external committees related to contractual matters.
  3. Legal Coordination & Claims Management:
    • Collaborate closely with legal entitys for project alignment and contract coherence.
    • Assist in the management of claims and disputes, providing expertise on major claims and resolution strategies.
    • Draft correspondences and notices to contractors, supporting claims dossier development.
  4. Training & Knowledge Sharing:
    • Lead training sessions on contract management within projects.
    • Contribute to lessons learned and best practices in contract engineering, ensuring continuous improvement.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 10+ years in contract management, preferably in large-scale EPC projects.
  • Expertise: Familiarity with BIMCO BARECON 2017 (FPSO/FSO/FPU/FSRU contracts a plus).
  • Skills: Strong transversal management, claims management, and ability to coordinate across legal and technical teams.
  • Communication: Excellent negotiation and representation skills, with experience in high-level committees and supplier meetings.
  • Education: Engineering or legal background preferred, with contract management certification as a plus.
