We are currently seeking a PGC Rotating Equipment Engineer to play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing the performance of our rotating equipment and systems. This role is essential in ensuring the long-term safe and reliable operation of our Production Gas Compressors (PGCs), supporting our ambition to deliver top quartile performance.

We are currently seeking a PGC Rotating Equipment Engineer to play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing the performance of our rotating equipment and systems. This role is essential in ensuring the long-term safe and reliable operation of our Production Gas Compressors (PGCs), supporting our ambition to deliver top quartile performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor daily operations of PGC systems and proactively mitigate equipment degradation.
- Collaborate closely with onshore and operations teams to maintain PGC packages and ensure smooth operations.
- Ensure all maintenance activities align with Spirit Energy’s maintenance philosophy and comply with UK safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Update maintenance records, plant history, and manage spare parts using SAP.
- Work closely with vendors, from preparing RFQs to monitoring their work for safety, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness.
- Drive initiatives to mitigate systemic equipment issues, including suggesting and implementing Management of Change (MOC) actions.
- Participate in root cause analyses (RCA) and incident investigations to improve reliability.
- Provide support in updating operational procedures, reviewing P&IDs, and managing repair plans for equipment breakdowns.
- Contribute to shutdown activities, ensuring proper preparation and execution.
- Actively promote a mindset of safety and incident-free workplace culture.
- A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline is preferred.
- Proven experience in maintenance and operations within the oil and gas industry, particularly in mechanical or rotating equipment roles.
- In-depth technical knowledge of PGC packages and related systems.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying solutions and driving improvements.
- Experience in managing vendor relationships, preparing technical evaluations, and overseeing project execution.
- Proficiency with SAP for maintenance management and inventory control.
