About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Principal Foundation Engineer to lead innovative offshore wind foundation design projects. This is a permanent position offering a flexible working style and hours, along with the opportunity to contribute to the success of floating offshore wind (FOW) projects. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee offshore wind foundation design projects, ensuring compliance with international standards and local regulations.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to achieve certification (e.g., ClassNK) within project timelines.
• Apply strong geotechnical and structural engineering expertise to foundation design and analysis.
• Engage with regulatory bodies, government agencies, and international stakeholders.
• Utilize structural analysis tools such as Ansys, SACS, Abaqus, and Plaxis to optimize designs.
• Drive harmonization of standards, incorporating guidelines like IEC, ISO, DNV, and JIS.

Key Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in geotechnical and structural engineering, including leadership in offshore wind foundation projects.
• Proficiency in Japanese and English, with experience in liaising with government and international stakeholders.
• Direct experience with ClassNK certification processes and related international standards.
• In-depth understanding of Japanese regulatory requirements and international guidelines.
• Hands-on expertise with structural analysis software.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams.
