Job Description
Our growing Dallas office is seeking an Electrical Engineer with five to nine years of experience in the consulting engineering field, who is passionate about their craft and looking for an environment that promotes professional growth. Applicants must be well versed in all aspects of electrical systems design and have experience developing construction documents from project conception to completion. The desired individual should be comfortable consulting to architects, owners, and general contractors, and have a desire to work as part of a multidiscipline engineering team. We value self-motivated individuals with an enthusiastic mindset, an interest to work on diverse projects, and attention to detail to deliver quality engineering services.

Qualifications:

B.S. in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university
Minimum five (5) /Maximum nine (9) years of relevant electrical engineering experience
PE license in Electrical Engineering
Past experience with a multidiscipline engineering/consulting firm for a minimum of four (4) years
Experience with at least one of the following: federal, commercial, or industrial project design
Knowledge of the NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code)
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills 
Experience in telecommunications, security, AV, or cybersecurity design is a plus
Experience with AutoCAD and Revit, Bluebeam, and general electronic drawing format software (Preferred)
Responsibilities

Design electrical plans and specifications for a variety of building types
Develop scope of work for electrical designs
Perform electrical discipline peer reviews
Contribute to Coffman’s marketing and business initiatives as needed
Desire to lead inter-disciplinary projects and project teams
Interaction with Clients and AHJs throughout the design process
