HSE Advisor Namibia

On behalf of a major Oil & Gas operator, WRS are looking for a HSE Advisor to work in Namibia on a contract basis. This will be a short term contract of 1 to 3 rotations depending on rig program, paying a day rate in EURO.
 
Job Duties include

• Manage and maintain the HSE aspects on drilling rigs to ensure compliance toHSE standards and regulations
• Close work out with Contractor’s representative to follow compliance with HSE Management System (PTW, HSE tours, incident investigation and follow up…)
• Report and coordinate offshore activities with onshore team
• Monitor and report HSE activity, observations and events
• In coordination with Saftey Lead, promote and implement HSE culture and initiatives onboard the rig, coach crew and other personnel as required to safe behavior and best practices
• Perform HSE audits and inspections
• Record any deviation against Company HSE standards and contractor’s HSE rules
• Participate to CTA of incidents and follow up on action items if required

Ideal candidate will have:

• 15 years relevant practical experience ( e.g. safety practitioner) preferable in drilling, Deepwater, including DST operations
• Fluent in English
• Computer Competency in MS Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication, administration and supervisory skills and be comfortable working in multinational environment.
