Summary:As a Vessel Operations Engineer, you will play a vital role in the preparation and execution of marine spread operations. This position requires strong technical expertise and the ability to collaborate effectively with various teams to ensure project success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Preparation:
- Oversee mobilization activities, including wet buckle contingency and pre-commissioning spread preparation.
- Coordinate pre-lay surveys and anchor pile installations.
- Monitor touch down points during pipelay campaigns and support laydown PLET installations.
- Facilitate anchor pile removals and pre-commissioning campaigns (flooding, cleaning, gauging).
- Assist with final demobilization activities.
- During Offshore Operations:
- Liaise with onshore project management and client representatives to ensure adherence to specifications and installation manuals.
- Provide engineering support and advise on project-specific matters.
- Manage onsite technical queries and change requests as needed.
- Review and approve offshore task plans for compliance with procedures.
- Collaborate with the QC Coordinator to ensure all documentation is current and available onboard.
- Relevant degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in vessel operations within the energy sector.
- Strong understanding of marine engineering principles and project management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure in offshore environments.
- Familiarity with offshore safety regulations and operational standards.
