Subsea Project Control Lead (SPS / SURF)
Paris, France
Initial 1-year term, with potential extension of 2-4 years following project awards.

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Subsea Project Control Lead to oversee the Subsea Production Systems (SPS) or Subsea Umbilicals, Risers, and Flowlines (SURF) package for a major project in Suriname. This role is crucial to ensuring the seamless management of contracts, planning, budgeting, documentation control, and risk management across a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all Project Control activities for the Suriname B58 Subsea package, focusing on compliance with Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) rules.
  • Oversee contracts from the negotiation phase to completion, ensuring adherence to project budgets and schedules.
  • Maintain rigorous control of cost management and explore opportunities for cost reduction.
  • Coordinate risk management activities, ensuring the risk register remains up to date and all necessary mitigation strategies are in place.
  • Prepare and manage reports, ensuring information quality and transparency for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support HR functions for the Subsea package, including logistics and mobilisation plans.
  • Develop and manage the Subsea package Electronic Document Management System (EDMS).
  • Contribute to long-term planning and support local development initiatives in Suriname.
  • Facilitate the close-out of Project Control activities, ensuring that all documentation and lessons learned are effectively captured and shared.

About You:

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in the oil and gas sector, specifically in contract writing, negotiation, and management.
  • At least 10 years of experience within large-scale project environments, ideally involving subsea projects.
  • Fluent in both English and French.
  • Proficient in Excel, with a strong understanding of project control software and methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and multidisciplinary teams in a fast-evolving environment.
