Job Posting: Senior Mechanical Engineer
We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with a minimum of ten years of experience for our DC Metro office. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated team player looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity within a dynamic and progressive firm. This role involves close collaboration with our business development team and other discipline leads to develop technical proposals while taking a proactive role in marketing and business development. The successful candidate will mentor a dedicated team of engineering professionals and work directly with clients to provide top-notch consulting services.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) is required.
- 10+ years of engineering work experience, including designing HVAC and plumbing systems.
- Proven ability to manage and design multiple concurrent projects and lead design team efforts.
- Strong interpretation skills for technical drawings and experience with load calculation software.
- Proficiency in REVIT and CAD.
- Experience in developing fee and qualification-based proposals.
- Local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) experience and relationships is a plus.
- Active involvement in the local industry is advantageous.
- Familiarity with relevant codes (mechanical, energy, plumbing) and ensuring designs conform to applicable codes and client standards.
- Skilled in preparing project drawings, including ductwork and piping plans.
- Experience with HVAC calculations and, preferably, energy modeling.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills along with excellent time management abilities.
- Ability to lead inter-disciplinary projects and teams, with periodic travel required.
