Senior Logistics Supervisor - Uganda

On behalf of a major Oil & Gas Operator, WRS are looking for a Senior Logistics Supervisor to work in Uganda on a contract, rotational basis. This will be a 12 month renewable contract, based at site on an 8/2 rotation, paying a day rate in USD

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee logistics and transportation activities for construction contractors.
• Implement and enforce logistics management policies and procedures, including safety and ethics.
• Supervise logistics teams and provide leadership in logistics management systems, methods, and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with all project requirements, including Health, Environmental, and Safety standards.
• Coordinate with various departments such as Procurement, Project Management, and Construction Management to ensure seamless execution.
• Proactively identify, report, and resolve issues while protecting the organization from supplier claims.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement and Logistics Management or a related field.
• Professional certification in Supply Chain Logistics.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in project traffic and logistics.
• Proven ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and internal teams.
• Proficiency in logistics management software and capable of producing reports, briefs, and presentations.
