Job Responsibilities
  • Support project staff and contractors to ensure pipeline and associated facilities are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Provide on-the-job training and mentoring to local personnel, coordinating with training providers and monitoring performance.
  • Promote and enforce safe work practices on and off project sites.
  • Review and approve contractor documents and procedures, including ITPs, QCPs, and SOPs.
  • Participate in contractor quality audits and engage as required.
  • Monitor compliance with mechanical documentation deliverables and data.
  • Conduct compliance audits and surveillance reviews as necessary.
  • Oversee activities of third-party inspection vendors, ensuring qualifications and certifications are valid.
  • Track and report on quality performance against agreed KPIs.
  • Maintain quality reports, records, and compliance audit databases.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical, instrumentation, telecoms engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least 12 years of experience in electrical/instrumentation inspection, with 8 years in QA/QC supervision or quality engineering within the oil and gas sector.
  • Proven expertise in quality assurance, including the use of tools and methodologies.
  • Experience analysing field quality metrics and creating KPI reports to track compliance trends.
Competencies
  • Proficiency with industry applications like Assure, OMIE, Aconex, SharePoint, Adobe, and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
  • Knowledge of compliance, risk controls, and HSE requirements.
  • Strong focus on achieving project deliverables and maintaining quality standards.
  • Familiarity with codes and standards such as IEC and NFPA.
  • Skilled in interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications.
  • Experience inspecting HV/MV/LV systems, substations, modular buildings, and HVAC/FAP systems
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis (RCA), risk assessment, and data analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate E&I construction concerns.
