Senior Environmental Advisor - Denmark

On behalf of a major Oil & Gas operator, WRS are seeking a highly skilled Senior Environmental Advisor to lead and manage environmental impact assessments (EIA) and related documentation for our projects. This role will involve collaboration with internal teams, external consultants, and regulatory bodies to ensure seamless integration of environmental requirements into project planning and execution. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in advancing environmental compliance and sustainability within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Environmental Documentation Management:
    • Prepare and oversee submission of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) and related documents.
    • Coordinate with consultants on large-scale assessments such as Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIA).
    • Review, revise, and finalize documents for regulatory submission.
  • Stakeholder Communication:
    • Liaise with project teams, regulatory authorities, and stakeholders.
    • Facilitate the regulatory approval process for environmental documentation.
    • Address and respond to environmental concerns raised by stakeholders.
  • Technical Support & Collaboration:
    • Provide input to HSE-related documentation and project plans.
    • Participate in tendering processes for environmental consultants, including reviewing proposals.
    • Work with global teams to develop resources for EIAs and environmental reporting.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • University degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Biology, or related fields.
  • At least 10 years of experience in EIA and environmental management, with exposure to:
    • Offshore and marine environments.
    • Regulatory approval processes for environmental projects.
    • Managing external consultants and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Danish language skills are advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Right to work in the EU
