Electrical Engineer - Albuquerque, NM

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team in Albuquerque! As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing conceptual design through construction administration and post-occupancy, coordinating with multiple disciplines, and ensuring projects are delivered within budget and on schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform conceptual design through construction administration and post-occupancy
  • Coordinate with multiple disciplines as an electrical engineer
  • Ensure projects are delivered within budget and on schedule
  • Stay current on codes and technologies appropriate to the electrical disciplines
  • Ensure conformance with standards, established design practices, applicable codes, and technical adequacy of design and construction
  • Organize and conduct site visits for data collection and evaluation of electrical systems, equipment, components, and materials
  • Develop and design within a BIM design environment
  • Complete assigned engineering and design tasks in accordance with client-specified criteria and applicable codes and standards
  • Review junior team member's work for quality and recognition of training opportunities
  • Lead junior engineers in engineering design development and professional growth
  • Collaborate with internal and external project teams to execute projects from concept to completion
Requirements:

  • Minimum four-year college degree from an accredited engineering program
  • Minimum of 5 years of electrical engineering experience within a consulting or design-build firm
  • Professional Licensed Electrical Engineer is a plus
  • Self-motivated with the ability to develop approaches to projects independently and perform detailed execution of electrical design
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal, written, and graphical
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Project management skills
  • Strong personal ambition and work ethic
  • Strong working knowledge of various building, electrical, and energy conservation codes
  • Strong working knowledge of NFPA and other industry-related standards
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, SKM PTW, and/or other design-related software
Security Clearance:
