On Behalf of a Global engineering & Advisory company, WRS are looking for a Senior Energy Market Consultant to join the growing team in Germany on a permanent basis.
This role is open to the offices in either Hamburg, Dresden or Bonn. 

The team that you would be joining provides economic, strategic, regulatory, and policy advisory services related to energy markets, energy infrastructures, energy technologies, and business models. 

Responsibilities:

• Providing strategic and analytical economic and commercial advice for our clients in the DACH countries on (future) energy systems, power and gas markets, emerging energy technologies, energy infrastructures, and business models.
• Leading consulting projects for clients, from proposal preparation to project delivery.
• Being an expert point of contact for our customers in the DACH countries on competitive energy markets and the economics of renewable energies, as well as the assessment and valuation of energy assets, investments and business models

Experience needed: 

• Several years of experience on economic and commercial aspects of energy markets.
• Deep understanding on the functioning of energy markets and comprehensive practical knowledge on energy sector business models in the DACH countries.
• Proven economic and commercial knowledge in some of the following areas:
• Wholesale power markets and trading
• System services, balancing markets and demand side flexibility, including energy storage
• Renewable energy generation and Power Purchase Agreements
• Renewable gases and sustainable fuels
• Interest and proven ability in leading projects, organizing project work, and guiding your project team and less experienced colleagues.
• Interest and ability to present and sell our services and develop them further.
• Fluent or native German speaker with excellent English language skills (written and spoken).
• Self-motivated, proactive, result and solution-oriented mindset, high sense of responsibility and personal integrity
