Planning Manager - Paris

On behalf of a major PMC client, WRS are looking for a Planning Manager to work Paris on a contract basis. This will be a 12 month renewable contract, based residentially out of the EPC contractor offices in Paris, paying a gross hourly rate in EURO.

The role will be supporting the FEED development of a large LNG project

Job Duties:
  • To review summary schedules based on alternative execution strategies to facilitate Management decision making in determining the most effective execution strategy.
  • To review maintain systems and procedures relating to Basis of Schedule to include Project Planning, Scheduling, Progress Measurement, Progress Reporting, Progress Trending, Progress Certification, consistent with the client requirements.
  • To identify the areas of concern impacting the project completion schedule and to advise the Project Mangers on the proposed corrective actions.
  • Critical Path Analysis and the reporting of any areas of concern to the management team.
  • To review, periodically, the Schedule Risk Analysis along with the mitigation measures identified by the Consultants/Contractors to ensure timely implementation of all agreed migration measures
  • Plan, manage and supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
  • Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective section objectives.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Right to work in the EU
  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or equivalent
  • 20 years of experience associated with Projects and/or Contracts including at least 10 years’ experience in planning engineering including at least 8 years of experience Planning, scheduling / Project Controls activities in the EPC organization in Oil, Gas or Petrochemical industry. Must have 2 years of experience in similar position.
  • Good computing skills with advanced knowledge of planning, scheduling software applications
  • Previous experience on LNG projects
  • Experience working in a PMC capacity
  • Experience on FEED stage projects
