Activities
- Evaluate the legitimacy of additional work requests from contractors, with a focus on supervising relevant activities.
- Ensure adherence to applicable codes, standards, policies, and specifications.
- Aid Quantity Surveyors in tracking daily/weekly progress of assigned tasks for progress reporting.
- Verify the accuracy of contractor-submitted daily reports on equipment and manpower, ensuring compliance with established procedures.
- Actively promote behavioural and incentivized HSE work programs and campaigns.
- Oversee implementation of quality control checks, tests, and record-keeping in accordance with agreed plans and specifications.
- Enforce adherence to approved procedures, plans, and method statements by contractors.
- Monitor completion of construction milestones as per schedule.
- Uphold quality and workmanship standards for all construction activities.
- Ensure necessary permits are obtained before commencing work on site.
- Prepare construction progress reports and forecasts.
- Coordinate activities with other disciplines or areas as directed by project management.
- Degree in Technical Diploma or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, coupled with extensive field experience.
- Minimum of 10 years' construction experience in Oil & Gas or Hydrocarbon projects.
- At least 5 years' experience as a Mechanical Superintendent.
- Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Advanced proficiency in written and spoken English.
