Principal Subcontracts Specialist - Sweden

On behalf of a major EPC company, WRS are looking for a Principal Subcontracts Specialist to work in Sweden on a contract, rotational basis. The role will be supporting a hydrogen project in Boden, Sweden, working on a 6/2 rotation , paying an hourly rate in Euro.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate proposals, including cost structures, performance requirements, and delivery schedules.
• Administer subcontract functions for projects and bids, ensuring compliance with policies.
• Develop and implement subcontract management strategies.
• Provide guidance on subcontract matters to site leadership and internal teams.
• Prepare and present internal and external subcontract management reports and audits.
• Resolve subcontract-related issues, ensuring a proactive and investigative approach.
• Support subcontractor performance reviews and closeout processes.
• Maintain alignment with project-specific sourcing strategies and contractual flow-downs.

Essential Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
• 8–12 years of relevant experience, with at least 6 years in subcontracts within the Oil & Gas sector.
• Strong field experience and a deep understanding of subcontract policies and processes.
• Proven ability to develop, negotiate, and manage complex subcontracts.
• Excellent multitasking, prioritization, and team collaboration skills.
• Experience with bid processes, evaluations, and compliance management.
• Right to work in the EU
