Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, design, construct, and maintain complex mechanical systems and components.
- Prepare detailed mechanical drawings for construction.
- Evaluate, select, and apply standard to advanced mechanical engineering techniques, making necessary adaptations and modifications.
- Conduct site visits to document conditions and provide technical guidance.
- Prepare comprehensive written reports.
- Lead the planning, designing, and monitoring of substantial new construction and renovation projects.
- Serve as a technical consultant for facilities planning and design.
- Prepare specifications and construction cost estimates as required.
- Evaluate contract bids and assist in managing large-scale construction projects.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- Current Professional Engineering license and the ability to be licensed by other states preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of mechanical design experience.
- Experience in military facilities design is a plus.
- Strong working knowledge of applicable design and building codes.
- Project administration and management experience preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and mechanical engineering software.
- Computer proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to build strong rapport with clients.
- LEED-AP certification or the ability to become certified within six months.
