Lead ICSS and Instrument Engineer

12-month contract (renewable)


Role Overview:


This role requires extensive expertise in Instrumentation and ICSS disciplines for oil and gas projects. The engineer will manage risks and identify opportunities within their scope of work while ensuring integration with existing systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Instrument and ICSS scope for the onshore Central Processing Facility (CPF) and ensure seamless integration with existing EPS platforms and telecom systems.
  • Lead and coordinate HSE reviews, such as SIL assessments, ensuring compliance with industry safety standards.
  • Conduct technical bid evaluations, reviewing Instrumentation and Control (I&C) equipment packages for selection.
  • Resolve technical queries from engineering teams, third-party consultants, and bidders regarding equipment and system packages.
  • Provide expertise in Process Automation Systems, including ICSS/DCS, Alarm Management Systems, system architecture design, and detailed engineering.
  • Develop and review telecom system designs including Fiber Optics, CCTV, PA systems, access control systems (ACS), telephones, structured cabling, and transmission networks.
  • Implement and oversee network security measures and ensure strong cyber security practices.
  • Assist with scheduling and budgeting, including preparing cost estimates and determining project requirements.
  • Review and validate design calculations, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Maintain and update all engineering drawings and project documentation.
  • Ensure awareness and application of environmental regulations and best practices.
