Interface Project Engineer (Wellpads)- Uganda

WRS are excited to be representing a major Operator in their search for a Interface Project Engineer (Wellpads) to work residential in Kampala, Uganda on a two year renewable contract. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a renowned energy company on a major project in the oil and gas sector.

Scope of Work:
  • Ensures HSE is given the highest priority, promotes HSEQ awareness of workforce at all levels in co-operation RSES for Construction and Drilling, and is addressed in the implementation procedures.
  • Identification with the packages, the activities which will be subject to COMOPS and SIMOPS.
  • Provide support to the various work packages at the interfaces to ensure accurate understanding of scope and responsibility split
  • Planning co-ordination and risk identification between the different packages and to liaise accordingly with the Planning department.
  • Develop and update the COMOPS philosophy for the interfaces

The Ideal candidate will have:
  • Engineering degree
  • Minimum 9 years oil & gas experience (an Industry or Company graduate program engineer or relevant experience) with significant relevant multi-discipline engineering experience in oil and gas or large complex industrial projects is required to provide the necessary overview of the business, with experience in project engineering
  • A minimum of 5-6 years participation in any of the following activities is paramount: Projects / Construction, Drilling, Production Operations, Commissioning, onshore or offshore sites are preferred – Site Experience is a minimum requirement.
  • Strong technical background with verifiable and tangible experience in SIMOPS / COMOPS Operations (Drilling & Production and Construction & Production).
