A residential construction project manager is responsible for hiring subcontractors and working with engineers and architects to achieve project goals.

His/her job description entails planning and overseeing a wide array of construction projects from beginning to end.

Residential construction project managers plan ahead and multitask in order to meet deadlines and keep projects under budget.

They are involved in balancing the budget, keeping track of supplies, collaborating with subcontractors, and ensuring all regulations are met and permits acquired.

They are also responsible for handling both administrative and hands-on work while managing construction projects.

The residential construction project manager ensures all projects are delivered on time according to requirements and without exceeding budget.

They oversee financial budgets, coordinate contractors, and manage the construction process; as well as keep track of an inventory of equipment and materials.

The project manager involved in residential construction is also responsible for organizing schedules, tracking inventory, and ordering and managing materials.

It is also his/her responsibility to coordinate and supervise one or more residential, commercial or industrial construction projects, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Others are business and leadership skills, knowledge of building products; competency in conflict and crisis management; knowledge of construction management processes; and good time management skills.
