Job Title: EACOP EITS Lead Engineer
Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania (with site visits)
Duration: 1 year (Renewable)

Overview: Join a groundbreaking infrastructure project at the forefront of East African development. The East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) project is set to transform regional connectivity with a significant investment exceeding $3.6 billion. As the EITS Lead Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the Electrical, Instrumentation, and Telecom Systems (EITS), ensuring seamless integration and operational readiness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and lead the field engineering activities related to EITS systems and contractors.
  • Monitor and control contractor performance against schedule, ensuring critical activities are prioritised to avoid project delays.
  • Oversee equipment testing, technical building fabrication, and site installations.
  • Collaborate closely with project stakeholders to ensure compliance with technical standards and contractual requirements.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (B.Eng. or equivalent).
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry with extensive exposure to large-scale projects.
  • Detailed understanding of EITS systems and their implementation in complex environments.
  • Proven track record in managing multi-disciplinary teams and interfacing effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a multicultural setting.
  • Proficiency in industry software (e.g., PowerBI, PRISM, MS Project) and standard office applications.
