Senior Project Subcontracts Engineer - Paris
On behalf of a major EPC client, WRS are seeking an experienced Senior Project Subcontracting Engineer to manage and oversee all subcontracting activities for a large-scale LNG project in Africa. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the supply chain function, ensuring smooth subcontracting operations, from vendor identification to contract closure.
The role will be working on a 12 month renewable contract basis, based residentially in Paris, paying a day rate in Euros

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the supply chain function, ensuring smooth subcontracting operations, from vendor identification to contract closure.

Job Duties:
- Vendor Identification & Evaluation: Research and assess the capabilities of potential subcontractors for project needs.
- Tender Management: Prepare, clarify, and manage the commercial and contractual aspects of tenders.
- Offer Comparison & Analysis: Prepare detailed comparative tables of received offers.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate terms and conditions for contracts and orders, ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Contract Administration: Manage notifications, variations, invoicing, and amendments throughout the contract lifecycle.
- Project Schedule Coordination: Align subcontractor mobilization with the project’s operational sequences and timelines.
- Dispute Resolution: Handle claims and disputes with subcontractors effectively.
- Performance Evaluation: Monitor subcontractor performance and provide experience feedback.
- Cost Analysis: Track cost statistics and compare initial estimates with final expenses.
- Experience: At least 10 years of experience in a subcontracting or similar engineering role within large Oil & Gas projects.
- Subsea Expertise: Hands-on experience in subsea contract/order placement.
- Knowledge of Chartering Contracts: Familiarity with contracts for chartering support vessels such as Construction Vessels, Heavy Lift Vessels, PSV, Crewboats, etc.
- Tender Process Knowledge: Strong understanding of tender processes, including analyzing offers and conducting clarification meetings.
- Contract Management: Expertise in contract administration, from drafting to dispute resolution.
