Mechanical Marine Project Manager (Ship Manager) - UK
Overview:
Our client, a leading UK shipyard, is seeking a skilled Mechanical Marine Project Manager (Ship Manager) to lead and manage their marine projects efficiently. This position is based in the UK.
Main Responsibilities:
-Oversee daily schedules and communicate effectively with teams.
-Drive productivity and maximize efficiency.
-Maximize gross margin, reduce costs, and boost sales.
-Manage all trade disciplines and subcontractors for timely execution.
-Optimize resources and manage material costs.
-Foster innovation and continuous improvement.
-Ensure adherence to company standards and QA/QC procedures.
-Conduct regular safety inspections.
Skills and Qualifications:
Essential:
-Apprenticeship/HNC/HND or equivalent experience in Marine/Mechanical/Electrical fields.
-Experience in maintenance and repair of marine vessels with knowledge of Planned Maintenance Systems.
Desirable:
-Understanding of Classification Society Rules.
-Experience in vessel docking and maintenance periods.
