Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and creative Marketing Assistant who will primarily focus on writing compelling content for tenders and proposals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in writing, excellent research skills, and the ability to communicate effectively to convey complex ideas clearly and persuasively. This role will involve collaborating with various departments to gather information and produce high-quality content that aligns with our business goals. We will provide comprehensive training and full support, including opportunities to shadow key departments to support you in your new role. 


Key Responsibilities: 
  • Research and analyse tender requirements and specifications to understand the needs of potential clients. 
  • Write, edit, and format persuasive tender documents, proposals, and related content that effectively communicates our value proposition. 
  • Collaborate with account managers and subject matter experts to gather relevant information and insights for content creation. 
  • Ensure all tender submissions meet deadlines and adhere to the highest quality standards. 
  • Maintain an organised repository of past tenders and proposals for reference and continuous improvement. 
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and enhance our content. 
  • Assist in developing marketing materials and presentations to support business development efforts. 
  • Support the marketing team with additional content writing tasks, including blog posts, newsletters, and social media content. 
  • Provide administrative support to the marketing team 
  • Support with other marketing-related tasks as needed. 
Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English, or a related field. 
  • Proven experience in content writing, preferably in a marketing or proposal writing environment. 
  • A strong understanding of tender processes and requirements is a plus. 
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen attention to detail. 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with content management systems. 
  • Experience with design software is a bonus. 
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
