Health and Safety Engineer - Rome

On behalf of a major PMC, I am looking for a Health and Safety work in Rome on a contract basis. This will be a long term contract, based residentially in Rome, paying an hourly rate in USD.

The role will be supporting the development of a large Petrochemical facility, which is currently in FEED stage.

Job Duties:

• Provide guidance, advice, monitoring, and assistance to the organisation with compliance to corporate safety and environmental requirement
• The role will be to liaise with the FEED/EPC contractor to ensure that all fire and safety related systems within the facility meet company, project and international standards and meet the full functionality and system requirements of the project. 
• Confirm that materials, systems, equipment and structures meet the safety requirements of the company, project and international standards. 
• Verify installation of the various system at site and provide support during pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up of the systems. 

Candidate Requirements:

• Engineering Degree 
• 10-15 years of relevant experience in large to mega projects
• Thorough knowledge of engineering practices and economic principles, calculation methods, design details
• Good working knowledge of PMC standards and procedures and International standards
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written (training, presentations, report writing)
