Drilling and Wells Contract Engineer 

On behalf of a major Oil & Gas operator, WRS are looking for a Drilling and Wells Contract Engineer to work in Paris on a contract basis. This will be a 12 month renewable contract, based residentially in Paris, paying a day rate in EURO.

The role will be supporting the development of a large deepwater drilling operation.

Job Duties:

• Ensure that Project procedures regarding Technical Assistance contractual and legal aspects are respected and properly implemented by all Project teams.
• Define the best contractual strategy for drilling services.
• Organize, when services shall be contracted, the call for tenders (including commercial evaluation of offers, and technical and commercial recommendations) in accordance to the Project’s rules and procedures. The Service Provider shall coordinate with technical counterparts (Drilling Engineer or Completion Engineer) to jointly prepare the technical Appendixes.
• Launch the Technical Assistance Services Call For Tender. Develop, and negotiate the contracts and all the associated conditions pertaining to assistance contracts with qualified Technical Assistance Services companies 
• Coordinate awarded contracts including relationships with Technical Assistance companies for invoicing/accounting matters and prepare renewal of the contracts when necessary, in a timely manner.

Candidate Requirements:

• At least 10 years experience in managing service provision contracts and tendering processes
• Previous experience working for an oil & gas operator
• Expeirence on deepwater drilling projects
• Fluency in French and English
• Right to work in the EU
