Responsibilities:
- Oversee oil operations for commodity contracts, including setting up documentary instructions and voyage orders, and coordinating with inspection companies for cargo quality/quantity controls.
- Serve as the primary contact for internal communication regarding cargoes, such as shipping and credit.
- Keep the company's systems updated with the latest data on cargoes, including B/L dates and volumes.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal clients and counterparties.
- Handle ad-hoc operational requests from the Trading Team.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and external regulations, such as REACH and customs.
- Manage storage locations and stock reconciliations.
- Perform some out-of-hours work as needed.
- Manage daily trading operations to ensure efficiency.
- Handle voyage orders, pro-forma invoices, documentary instructions, vessel nominations, and Letters of Credit.
- Support the management of ancillary costs such as demurrage, freight differentials, and deviation costs.
- Build and maintain good relationships and daily communication with counterparties' operations teams.
- Serve as the main point of contact for terminal communications regarding loading programs.
- Coordinate with terminals and company departments to ensure operational efficiency.
- Over 5 years of experience in product operations.
- Experience in managing storage and blending is advantageous.
- Familiarity with the ARA barge market is beneficial.
- Good understanding of REACH compliance.
- Solid knowledge and relevant experience in the trading environment.
- Strong knowledge of cargo documentation, B/L, inspections, LC, and voyage orders.
- Expertise in trading and shipping operations, including cargoes, charters, and quality/quantity controls.
- Excellent teamwork skills, a positive attitude, and a proactive approach.
- Awareness of credit recovery procedures and compliance policies.
