Job Title: EACOP – Completion Engineer
Location: Site Location in Tanzania
Reports To: AGI Lot Manager
Mission:
The Completion Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth handover of systems from construction to pre-operations. This position requires attention to detail, strong leadership skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
The EACOP project includes a 24” oil export pipeline, above-ground facilities, a greenfield marine terminal, main line block valves, and trace heating stations. The project involves a complex environment with numerous stakeholders, environmental and societal considerations, and the need to adhere to international standards to secure necessary financing.

- Analyse system definitions and pre-operations sequences as per PID mark-up.
- Coordinate with discipline leads and engineering to check completion system definitions and inspection plans.
- Request modifications to the Project Completion Database as necessary.
- Follow up on Inspection Test Reports according to system priority.
- Organize and participate in construction final inspections (walkdowns).
- Define and manage punch lists, ensuring their adequacy and site status.
- Lead daily completion meetings with contractors, QAQC, and construction teams to meet schedule objectives.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Engineering degree or similar postgraduate qualifications.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in construction and turnover (completion) roles.
- Strong leadership, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of PID, system definition, and turnover/completion requirements.
- Excellent communication, report writing, and negotiating skills.
- In-depth understanding of multi-discipline construction phases and management functions.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Ability to communicate and interact effectively with multicultural contractors and report on their performance.
- Knowledge of international standards.
